Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 31, 2026 · Last Updated: May 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Endurance Ecom LLC (“Endurance Ecom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you use the LetterFuse game and the website at playletterfuse.com (collectively, the “Service”), whether you access it through a web browser, the Apple App Store, or Google Play. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.
1. Who We Are
The Service is operated by Endurance Ecom LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Colorado. For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), Endurance Ecom LLC is the “data controller” of your personal data.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information. If you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication credentials (managed by our authentication provider — we never see or store your password in plain text).
- Purchase information. When you buy coins, remove ads, or subscribe to premium, we and our payment processors collect the transaction details described in Section 4. We do not collect or store your full payment card number.
- Communications. If you contact support, we collect your email address and the contents of your message.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Gameplay and progress data. Scores, levels, coins, streaks, mascots, daily-challenge results, friend-challenge records, leaderboard standings, and in-app settings.
- Device and technical data. Device type, operating system, browser type, app version, language, anonymous user identifiers, approximate region (derived from IP address), and crash or diagnostic logs.
- Usage data. Features used, session length, and interaction events used to improve gameplay and reliability.
2.3 Anonymous Play
You may play LetterFuse without registering. In that case we create an anonymous account identifier so we can save your progress to the cloud. If you later register, that progress is linked to your account.
3. Firebase — Data Storage and Processing
We use Google Firebase (provided by Google LLC) as our core back-end infrastructure. Specifically, we use:
- Firebase Authentication — to create and manage anonymous, email/password, and Google sign-in accounts.
- Firebase Realtime Database — to store and synchronize your gameplay progress, coins, premium status, leaderboards, daily-challenge scores, and friend challenges across your devices.
- Firebase Cloud Functions — to securely process events such as payment confirmations and to update your account.
Data stored in Firebase is hosted on Google’s servers, which may be located in the United States or other countries. Google processes this data on our behalf as our service provider under its own security and privacy commitments. For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy and the Firebase privacy and security documentation at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
4. Payments and In-App Purchases
LetterFuse offers digital goods including virtual coins, a one-time ad-free / premium upgrade, and auto-renewing premium subscriptions. How your payment is processed depends on the platform you use:
4.1 Web Purchases — Stripe
Purchases made through the LetterFuse website are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you check out, you are redirected to Stripe’s secure checkout, and Stripe collects and processes your payment information (such as card number, billing details, and email) directly. We never receive or store your full card number. We receive only confirmation of the transaction and limited details (such as the product purchased, an order identifier, and subscription status) needed to deliver your purchase. Stripe’s handling of your data is governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy.
4.2 iOS Purchases — Apple App Store
In-app purchases made through the iOS app are processed by Apple Inc. using Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple collects and processes your payment information under its own terms; we receive only the transaction receipt and entitlement information necessary to unlock your purchase. See Apple’s Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
4.3 Android Purchases — Google Play Billing
In-app purchases made through the Android app are processed by Google LLC using Google Play Billing. Google collects and processes your payment information under its own terms; we receive only the transaction and entitlement information necessary to unlock your purchase. See Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Advertising
LetterFuse is free to download and play. Players on the free tier may be shown advertisements. Premium subscribers and players who purchase the ad-free upgrade do not see advertisements. Where third-party advertising is served, advertising partners may collect device identifiers and usage data through cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. Where required by law, we will request your consent before serving personalized advertising, and you may opt out of personalized ads through your device settings (for example, “Limit Ad Tracking” on iOS or “Opt out of Ads Personalization” on Android). Purchasing premium or the ad-free upgrade is the most direct way to remove advertising.
6. How We Use Your Information
- To operate, maintain, and synchronize your gameplay and account across devices.
- To process purchases, manage subscriptions, and deliver entitlements (coins, premium, ad-free).
- To maintain leaderboards, daily challenges, and friend challenges.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues.
- To serve and measure advertising to free-tier users, where applicable.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
7. Legal Bases for Processing (EU/UK Users)
Where the GDPR applies, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract, to provide the Service and process purchases; (b) your consent, for example for personalized advertising where required; (c) our legitimate interests, such as securing and improving the Service; and (d) compliance with a legal obligation. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
8. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers. With Google/Firebase, Stripe, Apple, Google Play, and analytics or advertising partners that process data on our behalf.
- Public leaderboards. Your chosen display name and score may be visible to other players on leaderboards and in challenges you take part in.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Endurance Ecom LLC, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
9. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law (for example, transaction records).
10. Your Rights Under GDPR (EU/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; erase your data (“right to be forgotten”); restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email support@playletterfuse.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally one month).
11. Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA (California Users)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to: know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect; know whether we disclose personal information and to whom; delete personal information we have collected; correct inaccurate personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. To the extent the use of device identifiers for advertising is treated as a “sale” or “share” under California law, you may opt out by emailing us or by using your device’s ad-tracking opt-out controls. To exercise your California rights, email support@playletterfuse.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request.” You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
12. Children’s Privacy
LetterFuse is not directed to children under the age of 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account or make a purchase. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@playletterfuse.com and we will delete it. Where required by local law, a higher minimum age may apply.
13. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers (including Google/Firebase and Stripe) may process data in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
14. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including encryption in transit and access controls enforced by our database security rules — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
